Salukifan
She won't run when I take her out to the loo, about the most sedate kelpie you could ever meet, I've had people ask me what I have done to make her so relaxed but that's just how she is. LOL Which is particularly useful when she's needing to rest her foot :) Age is a great pacifier.
kelpiecuddles
It's slowed her down a little but she was always a very measured dog even as a pup, which is why i chose her, her brothers were tearing around like loons and she came and sat at my feet and looked up at me, I knew straight away she was just what I was looking for
mixeduppup
I have a lazy kelpie as well. All she does is sleep and eat, if she gets past a trot it's an emergency.
kelpiecuddles
lol, yeah that's her. If I want her to run I have to throw a ball or put her on the lead and run myself, apart from that she just chills most of the time.

As a 9 year old, are her feet starting to flatten? A change in the shape of her feet may be the reason this is a relatively new issue.
kelpiecuddles
No, not recently, I actually just got a lot more days at work and my husband has been away, plus the weather's not great so I've been rather slack on the exercise lately. Could still be the issue regardless so i might have look at her in the morning in a stand and see how her feet are looking, this recent one seems to have happened just walking around the house on tiles so it's a little odd and concerning at the same time. It's not in the same place as her previous split either
