Animal/dog Talk

Anyone in melbs going to any of the talks this group are putting on? First one is tonight in Windsor. I think they're about how dogs and animals understand us? I saw the talk at the dog lovers show and it was pretty amusing :)

For interests of full disclosure she is a supervisor for my masters but I haven't seen her talk except at the DLS

What aspects were talked about?

I've seen her speak at a veterinary behaviour seminar. I can't say I was particularly impressed with how she describes dealing with a multi-dog household. I had my 'training' hat on though.

She talked about what effects pets have on us, why we like them/what we get out of the relationship and some interesting scientific studies that have been done.

A good talk, but perhaps more aimed at everyday people rather than animal people like I had hoped - but it was the first talk the group has put on so they were very keen for feedback :)

Thanks for the reply mackiemad. :) I'd be keen to hear her speak about recent studies but it does indicate that it's not really for veterinary/behaviour professionals so might give it a miss this time around.

A good price though - hope she gets some good numbers attending. :)
