Esky the husky
We had some film crews out at the first races of the season, putting together a little segment about the sport I love so much. Look look Esky and I got featured- in fact I'm in there a few times.. And yes I did just roll out of bed  Edited June 11, 2013 by Esky the husky

ari.g
Awesome! Looks like a lot of fun. Some of the dogs look like they are more interested in hamming it up for the camera than racing

Gertrude139
Can dogs other than huskies/malamutes do it? Looks like so much fun! I have seen, samoyed's, akita's, GSD's, staffies, kelpies and even a cocker have a go! I've also seen a video of a whippet, who is very good at it. You don't really get a good view of them, but the six dog team I'm holding are Eurohounds. Essentially started as a mix of breeds bred for the sole purpose of racing fast. And they kick but. The dogs winning in the one dog class here are pointers and gsps. We also have shepherds of the belgian and german kinds, labs and a newfie. LisaCC
Oh cool! I wonder if this Aussie pup will be able to manage it when he's older. I'm only small Edited June 4, 2013 by LisaCC
Esky the husky
I've not seen any aussies competitng here (yet) but we did have a pup show up to the sprint race. She was too young to try it though. I've seen aussies pulling sleds in some videos from the US. There's no reason any breed with some size to it that likes to run wouldn't be able to have a go. Look at DiscoDobe's Elsie. She only weighs about 12kg and she's had 2 first places in bikejoring
