LanoRiley
Hi everyone, We are new to this forum, and wanting to know if anyone can recommend a dog trainer in perth. We have an excitable 19month old Labrador, named Lano. He loves people and other other dogs. He is a jumper and nothing we do seems to help. We have taken him to two different training schools. The last one was nothing but useless. They did not want to deal with, nor give us any suggestions, as to how to control his excitement. Though my search on the net I've come across Kathy Mcloed, and Del from alert dog training. They both seem to have good reviews. I wanted to know if anyone had any experience with them, as they are not cheap. Any comments on these or other perth trainers would be greatly appreciated. Weasels
NOR or SOR? Group class or in-home training? Edited June 2, 2013 by TheLBD
LanoRiley
NOR or SOR? Group class or in-home training? We live SOR. Thinking we'll need one on one, just so we can get some advice on our particular problems
Weasels
K9 Positive Works is slightly NOR but travels - https://www.facebook.com/K9PositiveWorks Georgia or Cecile at Paw Prints do in-homes I believe - http://pawprintspettraining.com.au/ or if you are extra SOR - Dog Charming near Rockingham - http://www.dogcharming.com.au/ Should all be able to help :) I have heard good things about Kathy but never met her, although I heard a rumour she may be moving more towards classes than one-on-ones? Not sure if it's true but she's well regarded either way. Not familiar with Del at all I'm afraid. Good luck :)
ChristineX
I only have experience with Kathy via my reactive dog, but she's great with dogs, and great with people. Worth checking into! Worth every cent, for us. (And my dog would go home with her in a heartbeat, and not miss me at all!)
Tumbleweed
Another vote for Kathy here. She is fantastic, and one of those people that is great with dogs, but is also great at communicating with their owners.
