Deemar
Hello, We have recently purchased a German Shepherd (Friday), he is 6 months of age, we already have a beautiful nearly 2 year old Gordon Setter (Maya) and a 15.5 year old working dog. I see on our new pup`s diet sheet to give him fish oil and Glucosamine, I have been giving our other 2 dogs fish oil for quite some time but researching online today I have come across a few topics saying when giving fish oil you also need to give them vitamin E. Is this information correct? How much vitamin E would I give? and now onto the glucosamine, have found out that the Wagner MSM joint powder is the same ingredients as joint guard but cheaper, how much would I give per kg of body weight?? Thank you for your help.
gwp4me
Hi Deemar, I have never given a puppy Glucosamine, but for health reasons, my 40kg Pointers get one 1000mg tablet (for humans) each every night, plus 3 - 4X 1000mg Fish Oil caps and 1X 500IU Vit E cap, each. :)

Crisovar
The best person to discuss the supplements with is your Breeder, they should be able to help you and explain why they have chosen the combinations they have. :) Congratulations on your new pup..goes without saying that GSD are awesome :)
