Conflicting Hobbies

My other hobby would be going to metal gigs.

It can be difficult as most of them are in Sydney so I have to organise someone to watch the kids for the night and it does take a bit of money so I am forced to sacrifice going to the occasional show but it's totally worth it :D

Family (not so much a hobby really) vs Dog Training/Trials etc....

My daughter volunteers as a Helper with RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association), she does it on Saturday conflicts with trials and shows. And the rest of the weekend family want to spend family time...can you imagine that...how RUDE!

We are all going to be compromising...except for Saturdays. I'm pretty proud of my daughter being so community minded, I'm more than happy to foster that.

Someone pointed out to me that my photos for Little Gifts usually have a dog in them inspecting what is going on so pretty much anything I do includes three supervisors and nothing leaves this house without hair on it! All the fabric has to be piled high on furniture to stop certain dogs making nests in it all! And I have had someone eat one of my lovely beads that once fell on the floor. I've also been trying to hand stitch something and discovered someone chewing on the end of the thread. So far wool is about the only thing they show no interest in but I often have to knit with my elbows sticking in the air because I have someone on my lap!

Motorsport. I wish I could take my girl with us, she loves wearing her workshop shirt and would be the perfect mascot but unfortunately most of the places we race are private property and have stock on the property so no doggies allowed.

Also 4wding/fishing, she LOVES coming away on 4wd/fishing trips but a lot of the time we go to national parks where dogs are not allowed or places where they lay a lot of 1080 so she stays at home.
