hankdog
That's a terrible thing to happen and seems it could have been avoided. I adopted a DA bull breed just over a year ago. He is improving but very slowly and having a year of experience to reflect on in my opinion I believe the level of danger of any dog is governed by the owner. My boy is closely managed at home and out but despite my best efforts he is frequently challenged by people who believe its ok to allow their friendly dogs to run across the road to say hello. I really wish there was some way of getting all dog owners, bull breed or whatever to control their dogs. We need greater education and policing of dog management. Owning a dog is a responsibility not just a thoughtless accessory acquisition. Edited May 26, 2013 by hankdog
Clyde
I'm pretty sure you have to be 18 to hold a dogs leash. There is no way I'd let my daughter hold our SBT, if she took off she is strong enough to drag a child. I do though, let her hold the leash of the pug if there are no other dogs in sight.
