Steph M
Helllooooo. I was just wondering if anyone knew any cool Victorian spots you can take your dogs to have a play in the snow without being too much of a PITA and getting in the way? It's coming to that time of year, best embrace it I guess! We love the snow, not skiiers but I make a mean snowman.
Bjelkier
Dinner Plain I think is one of the only dog friendly snow areas.

Steph M
Awesome! Thank you! I've just bought the other half a Go Pro and puppy is a few weeks away. Might look into a weekend away up there!
PuddleDuck
Only place in Australia is dinner plain, everywhere else is in national parks. We go every year (drive down from Sydney) It's amazing and the dogs loooooove it!!!
Steph M
How cool! Any accom suggestions? If I'm not pushing it too much? ;)
PuddleDuck
Yep, go to www.dinnerplain.com and get in touch with them, they have plenty of dog friendly accommodation :) Just make sure when you go that you don't wander into the national park, they sometimes put fox baits in the park. But there is heaps of dog friendly walking and it's ideal for people who don't ski (I don't ski either!) - very laid back, country town sort of feel :)
Steph M
Eeek. Will keep an eye out, horrible stuff! I had a look there, their booking form is not working, but Stayz.com.au has some nice little cottages. Now to wrangle a day or two leave... PuddleDuck
Just send them an email, that how I usually do it. The last 2 times we've stayed at 'Shiraz' and its great. One thing I learnt is a dog with a reliable heel is helpful there, pulling dog + ice on road = you will stack it!!! Oh also there are no yards on the properties so if you have dogs that go out during the night, start negotiating with your OH now!
Steph M
Hahaha no no, he's a bigger softie than I am. If I suggested it, I'd be outside.
