Any Opinions On This New Aussie Food?

Its called Foodiepooch. Australian made and human grade ingredients. There does not seem to be any information about the protein, fat and other nutrient levels though.

I'm really liking the ingredient list & the fact it is Aussie made. Not really liking the $$. Pretty expensive almost $30 for 2kg.

And yes no protein, nutrient etc list....

I think I would prefer to do my own for considerably less $$$$, that is if I was going to make a stew.

Mine mainly get BARF, plus a whole lot of extras.

If you read it it is dehydrated so i guess the theory is that the hydrated weight would make it much less per KG?? Rehydrated it would probably work out to a similiar cost to those mixed wet diets you buy frm the fridge.

So is it a bit like VANs where you add water to it. So 500gm costs $30 & it makes up into 2 kilos when hydrated....is that correct

Sounds similar to the New Zealand K9 Natural freeze dried which I used recently for Piper. A bit more expensive than other super premiums but a lot better quality. I certainly couldn't afford to keep multiple dogs on it but to keep her on a raw type diet once she could only handle small meals and not much bone it was worth it.

The K9 natural is something I would use though if needing a single protein food or when travelling as it is so easy and convenient to use. Much easier than travelling with home made raw or VAN as it only takes a few minutes to soak and requires no refrigeration. I would be interested in checking this out for a travel option as well.

I'm feeding Simi and her pups on K9 Natural and it looks very similar to that. I'd buy the Aussie made one but no where up here sells it so it would cost more for postage. Ill stick to the K9 Natural for now as I can get it from Petbarn :)
