kelpiecuddles
I am on the Sth coast but I only know of awl and RSPCA here. Awl doesn't do dogs here and I don't want to do the RSPCA foster program. I am happy to work with someone further away and would take small friendly working dogs. I can go as far as goulbourn to meet transport. I love the little kelpie cross girl over at Wagga if someone needs help with her and she is goo with other dogs. If I am fostering through an organisation do I need my own registration exemption? How do things like vet costs and adoption payments usually work?
Loreley
If you contact someone like Working Dog Rescue, they have fosters all over australia. There is a form you complete, a yard check that needs to be done. I think thats it.
Loving my Oldies
Isn't RADAR down that way? Have a look on the PetRescue site; there is a list of all the rescuers and rescue groups. If you foster for an ethical and reputable group all legalities should be taken care of by them.
baifra
There is a south coast animal rescue too. I'm not sure how they work fostering wise, but I think they are based in the tomerong/ Vincentia region.
jemappelle
There is South Coast Animal Rescue based at Tomerong: https://www.facebook.com/pages/South-Coast-Animal-Rescue-Inc/234670036567123?fref=ts
Her Majesty Dogmad
I'd contact AWDRi, the reason I'm suggesting this is if you want to specialise in a particular kind of dog then go with the organisation that specialises in them. I'd recommend you check on the workings of any organisation before signing up with them - including rehoming policies - ie do they have trial period (is it reasonable - 2 weeks plus), do they have a refund policy, do they do homechecks, do they provide behavioural expertise to new foster carers/owners (how to housetrain and other training that each dog needs). trifecta
Awl doesn't do dogs here What's happened to Yves? She was the AWL dog lady for Eurobodalla. I know AWL also had representatives at Cobargo & Eden on the Far South Coast - are none of them operating anymore?
kelpiecuddles
I'm not far south coast I'm south coast at Nowra, Eurobodalla is a different group. Perry's Mum
If you are interested in Koolies then Koolie Rescue is always looking for foster carers and we have someone near Nowra who would be able to give advice.

Panto
kelpiecuddles if you're having to wait a long time I wouldnt hesitate to perhaps a quick phone call? I ended up waiting nearly 4 months after having applied for my first choice (I was familiar with that group's name over the years), even after I had been accepted it was more wait more wait... Then I called the one I ended up with and I had a dog within just over a week, very efficient, and their support was great. Good luck!!
