Raya
Hello as you know I feed my dogs raw meat, but I want to know what veggies to add? I have read through the thread in here but cant find a list of what veggies to add..... I also feed whole egg (shell and all) once a week, sardines, raw chicken necks and carcass and I mix up in the food processor raw veg, but I'd like to know whats good and what to be careful of? I buy bulk raw chopped beef and freeze it in 2kgs lots and I only add the veg in every second meat I take out the freezer which would get roughly two meals from as my cats also eat raw meat aswell :) I feed every second lot of meat so they are not getting to much veg, this has worked for my two for the last 8 years I also give fruit sometimes when we are eating it, but can anyone advise me on which veggies are good to add? Sandra777
Green leafy vege are good, cabbage & others of that family not so much. Broccoli, cauli, beans & peas would be more a moderation thing to me. Beans are often suggested for bulking up the meal for a dog on a weight loss program so might not suit what you want. Root/tuber vege such as carrots, parsnips, a little sweet potato are fine raw or cooked, I have fed the odd beetroot (raw, whizzed up) but not sure it's actually good for anything! Anything except onion would be fine but the cabbage family doesn't agree with a lot of dogs (just like people  ) and raw potato isn't meant to be very good for a lot of dogs, mine like peelings though - crazy sods! The odd bit of garlic is OK.
minimax
I add zucchini, carrot and a bit of apple to my raw mix. Pulverized through the juicer.

Guest Maeby Fünke
Oscar is on an anti-cancer diet so he is only allowed to have low carb vegies... I buy frozen vegies and blend them, raw, in a food processor and add them to his mix. You can even buy organic ones now. Tara8430
I've wondered about beets as well.... I add spinach, carrot, sweet potato, zucchini, pumpkin and small amounts of cabbage to the raw patties I make up.
Esky the husky
I've hear beetroot being a great supplement for sprinters (humans) so I've been adding it.to.our raw mix for a while
Jed
Pumpkin - I precook mine a bit in the microwave to soften it Most fruits - bananas/pears/apples/stone fruit etc. Mine wont eat citrus, some will. Occasionally I cook potato and chuck it in processor. Brown rice contains Vit B. Just feed occasionally And add some organ meat (liver/heart/kidney) The more different things you add, the more balanced the diet will be - not over a day but over a month. Good luck
BC Crazy
Have a look at Augustine Approved..... I love the Augustine's SuperBoost. I have had both my guys on it for 3 months now & have have noticed dramatic improvements in their over all appearance. Especially my boy who had huge coat issues previously after a food intolerance. His coat is back to it's beautiful, shiny self again
