persephone
I can discreetly enquire as to the presence of a disease in stock from a registered breeder of boxers? ...or not. Breeder is listed on D O L .
minimax
If it's a known disease in the breed that can be tested for, can you ask the breeder if it's something they test for? It's a common question so I can't imagine it would offend them. Discretion in the dog world isn't something I've really noticed though...
Dogsfevr
If it has a known test ask away . But please keep in mind that not all states have some testing opportunities . I had to fly my dog East to be BAER tested
Jed
Edited because I realise I didn't read your question correctly. You are wondering whether a particular line of dogs has a specific disease? The only way to find out would be to ask the breeder - "have any of your dogs had this". PM me if you like Edited April 26, 2013 by Jed

PM me if you like Yes, particularly if it is a disease that can't be tested for, but may have a history in the dog's lines. Hopefully the breeder is open and honest. I can think of one particular disease that I really hope it's not. Is this the boxer that your friend recently adopted Pers?

She was able to tell me a lot about dogs in my dogs' pedigree (including a grandparent who inexplicabley dropped dead at 5 years old). I was able to verify this independantly, however my dog's breeder was not forthcoming on some of these details. Feel free to PM me too Persephone.
