Raya
Hello I feed my dogs raw meat chicken wing tips and carcass, they also get dinner scraps when we have any :) but I have been putting carrots, broccoli, green beans, and cauliflower (not always the same vegies) in a food processor and chop them up finely and mix in with the raw meat.....I also once a week mix in a tin sardines, am I on the right track and can anyone advise me on whatelse to add....my dogs are healthy and the vet commented on how good our older girl is but would like to hear what else I can add :)
Sandra777
Sounds pretty much OK to me. You could add a little offal (liver & kidney is about all most people can easily access) perhaps whizz some up with the vege's a couple of times a week if the dogs aren't big fans. Egg is always good - mine get a whole egg including the shell once a week, some eat all the shell some eat only a little, but again you could whizz one or two (including the shell) up with the vege if yours aren't keen. Diva
Red meat occasionally would be good. Just chicken with fish occasionally doesn't sound like enough variety in the long term.
julesluvscavs
I do up raw chicken mince mix and veges and raw beef mince and vege mixes.. I sometimes add small amounts of fruits (ones they are allowed) Miah gets one mix one day, and another type of mix the next day I also add (not with every meal) raw egg yolk with some crushed up egg shell natural yoghurt sardines/tuna/salmon Beef or lamb heart ( I do cut it up into pieces for our puppy) I keep meaning to get some cottage cheese also to add to her meals sometimes as well.. They have also as a meal .. chicken carcasses I think you have to be a bit careful not to give too much broccoli from what ive read.. small amounts of it is ok :) Edited April 18, 2013 by Jules❤3Cavs

I added a egg with shell tonight and they both eat all their dinner so no problem there I broke the shell up into smaller bits so Ill do that once a week..thank you :D

WreckitWhippet
Try some whole raw fish, they will either love it , hate it or insist on rolling around in it
_PL_
Try some whole raw fish, they will either love it , hate it or insist on rolling around in it  Eeewww yes. It freaked me out to see the rejected sardine heads staring at me from random places  so the littlies get a few whitebait when it's in season and they eat the whole fish incl the icky head. WreckitWhippet
A large raw salmon head mentally scarred one of mine for life  My Whippets were a bit funny with those but the Staffords didn't leave anything behind and a couple of the Greys thought they were great.
