Dame Aussie
Ugh! Why do they do these things?!
mixeduppup
My friend recently had to pull a piece of wire out of her dog's bottom. It was a big scare for her but he's ok now. She's trying to figure out why it would eat a long piece of wire.
Little Gifts
my dear departed Divine Miss Sophie was a great eater.. anything and everything. she once ate an entier box of those disposable gloves.. we counted 33 gloves over the next few days.. pulled several out eeeewwwwwww! there is something really weird when your dog backs up to you and she has a glove with fingers poking out of her bum.... H Oh that cracked me up! I remember a co-worker having to pull a long footy sock out of his dog's bum - apparently it just kept coming and coming and coming. Clearly dogs don't have great memories about poo issues - if I had to get someone to pull a sock out of my bum it would be the last time I ever ate one! tdierikx
Pulling things out of Pickles' bum is a weekly occurrence here... I'm so blaze about it now that I don't even bother trying to find a glove... but I wash my hands thoroughly straight after! It doesn't stop her ingesting all manner of things she shouldn't - but at least she chews everything up into passable sizes before swallowing... I once was at a dog park and someone else's dog had something stuck and the poor dog was getting really distressed about not being able to pass it. The silly owner was laughing at his dog straining and getting distressed, so I walked up with a poo bag over my hand and helped the poor dog out... he was a large bull breed dog, and I swear the look he gave me afterwards was one of pure gratitude... then I told the owner that he might want to help his own dog next time something like that happens, it's not really all that hard... *sigh*... I then handed him the poo bag and let him take it to the bin... lol! Only truly crazy dog people (of which I'm proud to be called) think that pulling things out of their dogs' bums isn't any big deal... *grin* T. MsKatie
One of the river stones Earl ate was pushed out of his bum by the vet - didn't stop the silly bugger eating another one though *sigh*
Little Gifts
I use Vaseline to keep my lips moisturised (I hate dry lips). I usually buy a large jar but just put some into a little container to use. Today, garbage guts Stussy got into a large jar of the Vaseline and has licked/eaten half of it in one sitting. It is not her first self lubricating experience either! Surely it can't be that tasty?

Who does that, it can't have tasted very good? When I lived on acreage and had chooks I would constantly be moving the grain bag thinking I had mice/rats getting into it. Nope, just two naughty SBTs! It must've been like eating dry weetbix!
RubyStar
My dogs like eating bird seed, too. Not that they've gotten into a bag of it, but if any drops on the ground after feeding the birds, they hoover it up. I also dropped bits of wheat when making heat packs and no need to vacuum it up, the Labs did that for me...

Who does that, it can't have tasted very good? the Divine One used to do that too.. then they poop cylindrical poop that looks like health snacks.. but does not smell at all similar one of mine also ate one of my chooks. Looked for her for ages.. then two days later found poop in the yard which had beautifully aligned chook feathers in it all pointing the same way.. yep i am seriously weird too H Edited April 13, 2013 by dogbesotted
PuddleDuck
One of my dogs ate a couple of green crayons recently. Scared me when I went out in the yard-bright green poo everywhere! It looked like a bunch of leprechauns had been partying without a portaloo
