m-j
Hi We have had a bitch back after AI for about a week and she has started acting like she is in season (backing up and flicking her tail to the side)and the boys are acting like she is in season too. Could this behaviour be an indicator she isn't pregnant?
persephone
..or perhaps she was AI'd too early, and is now 'ready' ?
m-j
..or perhaps she was AI'd too early, and is now 'ready' ? Yes that was my first thought too, but she did go a reputable clinic and my boss said they did send him reports on her prog levels during her stay there and all seemed good

alpha bet
Dogs are in season and continue to be in season after a mating.... For many bitches a season is 21 days or even more and mating could be about day 11. Not uncommon for bitches to still be flirty etc. - but it is important to know if any prog tests were done and what were the levels. One of the things with horses is that they can cycle during mating season every three weeks or so and then have a mating, if they are pregnant they don't cycle again. If they do cycle then they are not pregnant.
