jipsi01
I enquired about a rescue dog that I was told would be located in Adelaide. She is only a puppy under 3 months old.... I have now recieved an email saying that she WAS going to be transported here from NSW but is now not coming. I could still adopt her but would be my responsibility/cost to transport her here (to Adelaide) Does anyone know about how much that would cost? TIA

garnali
Recently flew a 12 kg 6 month old pup from Adelaide to Canberra $250... Used this one : Wayne Moore Moorholme Park Pet Care Centre 65-125 Bassett Road, Melbourne Airport, Victoria, Australia, 3045 www.boardingkennels.com.au T: (03) 93380823 F: (03) 93380039 M: 0452643141 OR : Ian Liddle Animal Travel Adelaide 08 83540499. Make sure fully vacc before travel and can hire or buy crate.. For a young pup may be best to buy crate so no viruses etc...

To get you to part with money up front for an imaginary dog? by a guy that is probably in Nigeria? http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/247883-is-this-a-scam/ lots of lovely dogs locally for you to check out face to face on http://petrescue.com.au
Boronia
Jipsi01...can you cut and paste the ad here? (at least the description part) it may well be a scam.
tdierikx
If the rescue is legit, they may have had a transport option to SA that didn't pan out... Usually the scammers will ask the buyer to pay them for the transport - and this looks like jipsi01 is having to organise that part on her own. T. Mrs Rusty Bucket
Just seems dodgy that she thought she was enquiring about a dog already in Adelaide and then gets a reply that says it isn't in Adelaide it's in ... (Griffith in Cameroon).
tdierikx
Not Pound Rounds... the dog in question is a young pup and not a bull breed... Sounds like there was the possibility of transport to SA via the rescue, but it may have fallen through - the rescue in question doesn't appear to have an ABN yet though. They are listed on PetRescue, but info on their whereabouts is sketchy - can only contact via email. If jipsi is getting suss about anything regarding this rescue, may I suggest she might want to have a look at our current crop of pups in care? http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/247752-country-pound-pups-15-of-them-18-now/ - best pics are on pages 3 and 6... lots to choose from, cheaper than the rescue she's currently looking at, and we can get great transport rates from Dogtainers for transport to Adelaide... *grin* Most of our pups will be available from next weekend onwards - the BT pups need another week. westiemum
jipsi do have a look at the pups that T and NSWAR have. They have some fantastic dogs at the moment - I don't dare look to see if Elliot is still there....
