PoppyDog
Hi All, Just after recommendations of great boarding kennels in Western Brisbane area? Our puppy is 3 years old and just loves being with humans. We had a sitter lined up as we are going on a cruise for a week but that has fallen through. I'm nervous about leaving her with just anyone and so am hoping that you can all recommend a kennel that will love and care for her like we do! Thanks, :)
zeebie
When you say western suburbs what area roughly and what breed of dog? When do you need the care done?

Rosetta
Poppy I have seen a place called White Rose (?) recommended on here - I think they are near Ipswich. Or there is Samford Pet Resort, but they are on the north side of Brisbane - have you done a search on here?
Niques
How far west? I've had no troubles with both the Moggill Pet Motel and the Brookfield Pet Chalet. The Chalet's staff tend to be more personable, but the dog comes out of both of them happy as a clam.
PoppyDog
I haven't done research on here... Is there a particular section to look in? We have been looking at the pet chalet and moggill motel websites. I just worry about her...
SueM
I have pet sat Miss Poppy in the past and she is a lovely dog, unfortunately I can't anymore due to having a nervous wee foster dog and already have another small dog booked in for holidays. mita
My tibbes (& our shelties before that) go to Samford Pet Resort. It's northern.... but they have pick-up points at numbers of vet clinics in northern, north-western & inner south suburbs. http://www.samfordpetresort.com.au/pet-transport/'>http://www.samfordpetresort.com.au/pet-transport/ These people are the best IMO .. all our little dogs have loved going there. It's a family-owned business for two generations now & they genuinely love the animals and give them best of care. They have one option of care (which costs a little more) where the dogs can be housed in a room that looks exactly like a room in a home. http://www.samfordpetresort.com.au/ Edited March 16, 2013 by mita
Lisey
It will be good to hear your experiences. There will be times when I need to board my two as we are in the early stages for planning a Reno at our house and there will times that its safer for them not to be here. I'm in inner north brisbane but am happy to travel if I know they will get looked after really well.
Sandra777
White Rose is at Walloon about 10 minutes west of Ipswich. Gets lots of good reviews on here.
PoppyDog
Thanks everyone. The friends we are travelling th are having their dog looked after by a mutual friend who is staying in their house. So miss Poppy will be joining them for the week. Where she can sleep inside, on the bed and be spoilt as usual! Lol!
