Patterdale Terrier

With regards to the Patterdale, the ones I knew were owned by a guy who used them for rabbiting back home - tough little buggers :laugh: but they look nothing like a staffy cross.

That's what the smooth coated Patterdales remind me of.

In the flesh though, they are much wirier dogs body wise. I love the look of the wire coated ones though. I am sure they are great little dogs.

If that little chap were to end up in a pound and not chipped, he'd probably be listed as a Staffy cross.

The smooth coated ones looked gorgeous, but solid like staffy crosses.

Oh - LOL. Yes the smooth coated ones looked quite small, but still Staffyish. Shame they are so energetic. I'm at the couch potatoe stage :D

patterdales are not a recognised breed in the UK, so there is more variety in type then we would perhaps see in a recognised breed
