Guest muttrus
I haven"t had a lot to do with sydney rescue groups.I know the bigger named ones of course .Anyway if people enquire about a dog who has since been rehomed I always offer to help point them in the right direction.Of late there"s been a big call for small dogs I know paws of course but are there some other great ones who I could pass on details for? Added to the fact I don"t know areas of sydney only the bus and train route :) While pet rescue does have a directory I thought maybe if I just sent these wonderful homes a direct link to rescues mainly adopting small dogs it would be helpful . One lady contacted me from oakville she says she"s been visiting the local pound but she isn"t interested in a staffy another family prefered to adopt a dog who has been living in foster care . Wether these people contact you or are suitable or not will be up to you of course I just thought it would be better to help them know who to contact :D

Why thank you kindly mita... we do try our best... *grin* Seriously though, we mostly take in small breed adults - many with special needs when they arrive into our care. We don't always have all of our dogs up on our website, but we do have quite a few that are ready for adoption... all one needs to do is call and ask, and we may just have a dog to fit the new family. honeybun
There is also Sydney Animal Second-Chance Incorporated and have been in operation since 2008. They concentrate on the mainly small dogs and sometimes up to medium sized, and occasionally rescue cats. They have a Facebook page. They tend to have foster carers around the St.George/Sutherland,Inner West and eastern suburbs areas. They have Clause 16D and rescue mainly from Renbury,Blacktown and Campbelltown Pounds and occasionally from Hawkesbury. They also take, on occasion, surrenders to stop these ones ending up in the pound.
