I feel so sad for you and your boy :(

I think you should be reimbursed for today, by the specialist.

He doesn't need this extra pain and complication after his big surgery, please give him a gentle pat from me

Thanks all. He just started whimpering again so I gave him his Ace a bit early and will give more Tramadol in an hour :(

Persephone - I had no idea that this area takes a while to heal? Crap, crap, crap :(

I think when he has improved I will email the surgeon and voice my concerns more formally. I am just so pissed off he has to deal with this.

Poor lad he has enough to deal iwth. I would be totally pissed off as well, it is just not good enough. The scrotum seems to be causing him more pain than the surgery site. A pain he didn't and doesn't need to have - I would expect them to pay his bill today as well.

I'm currently sitting here in tears as he wont stop crying  I've sent off an email to both my vet and the surgeon with that pic. This is freakin pathetic that he is in so much pain and I can't do anything

would it be worth ringing the AH number at the vet - he may need some IV pain relief

That looks so dreadfully painfully, poor boy, and poor you. It looks to be almost infected from the pics, I guess he would be on antibiotics already. I am thinking it may help to wrap his scrotum with some sort of soothing dressing like jelonet which is gauze impregnated with parafin, as it appears to be very dry also. Certainly if you can get some lignocaine gel or emla cream over the counter that may help also.
