Are gumnuts toxic for dogs?

Lately, Poppy has started eating these tiny little gumnuts that she finds in the backyard and on our walks. She sniffs them out of the grass and gobbles them down like kibble. It's become a bit of an obsession for her. I'm worried because she had diarrhea yesterday (though today her poos are fine)... Maybe it was the gumnuts?

How on earth am I going to get her to stop eating them? They're everywhere! The strange thing is, she never did this before.

Actually it wasn't diarrhea, it was just soft poo, but it still made me worry.

Monte also eats river pebbles, sticks, leaves and plants and figs seed things from those large fig trees.

My vet told me a story about a client's Pug who rattled when she shook him... When they x-rayed him, he had 40 stones in his tummy!

If it was in NSW I'd swear they were referring to Monte!

We blocked his access to the stones and removed them from areas he could still get to so he stopped eating them. I used to tap his belly and you could hear them clicking against each other.
