Kirislin
It looks bad doesn't it. I can see the spot of abnormal cells, I'm sure that what it is. Frankly, as I look at these photos I feel like just ringing up Brett and making the appointment straight away. I know common sense says to just watch it for a while, but I know the outcome here. I will wait and see for a while, at least I have a record of what it looked like today so next time I take a pic I'll be able to tell if it's changed. Loving my Oldies
Those photos are amazingly clear. Don't rush into anything, get second or third opinions.
mantis
Ari.G - your boxer boy is gorgeous. That seems to be a great age for a boxer. Well, I have some bananas in the fruit bowl and when I have one tomorrow with my muesli, I'll see if any of the dogs are takers. Somehow, I has me doubts.  DD don't do it, dogs love nannas. Kirislin, as others have said she is healthy, sending you positive vibes & hugs. minimax
Kirislin, can I recommend you get your hands on some Mediherb Eye Bright? It's a herbal medicine that I give my pugs when they are having eye trouble, and it's amazing. It's a clinician only medicine, but if you order and put your vets name down it's usually fine. http://www.fourbody.com.au/mediherb-eyebright.html

Trishm
Oh Goodness you're not having much luck in the eye department are you ? Poor little Kibah, is it not possible that it is just a 'bleed' ? If it is the worst diagnosis she will adapt and cope, thankfully they are not like us, we would just sit around and feel sorry for ourselves. She is healthy, in great condition, she will be fine, I know that you will worry, but we'll all be sending positive and healing vibes to her. Hugs to you.... dancinbcs
I would have her to the opthalmologist immediately. It might be something that can be treated. Eyes should always be treated as an emergency and you need a specialist fast.
bianca.a
I agree with an ophthalmologist. They have the right diagnostic equipment. It was a little more expensive than if my vet had done it but he was quicker which was important to me. With my cat and her cancer, her eye was bulging (profile). He recommended it come out that same day. Wishing you both only the best, she is such a beautiful girl. Here is Paris a few days after her surgery
Kirislin
I'm confident of my vets diagnosis in this case. I dont think there's any point in seeing a specialist, but I do thank everyone for your interest, concern and suggestions. I'm watching it closely, I think I found it early and as soon as I'm certain it's growing I'll be booking her in to have her eye removed. Of course I will let you all know what is happening along the way.

I have said many times to owners the dogs cope fine etc etc, but yeh totally different kettle of fish when it's your own Exactly, just yesterday I was trying to reassure someone else that I know a dog who's had both her eyes removed and she is coping really well, and then suddenly, later that day I discover this on Kibah and I've changed my tune. I know it's just the shock and worry of it all though. I'd still rather have her eye taken out than the alternative. I feel Kibah still has a few good years left in her, the darling. She's been getting a bit spoilt today.

Kirislin
thanks all :) DD the eye specialist is coming out this evening to look at my mare so I've sent him an email to ask if he will also look at Kibahs eye. I haven't heard back from him, but I think he will say yes, he usually calls in here on his way home so it will only add another 10 minutes or so onto his journey. I'm really hoping I can get a definite answer as to what it is. I'm perfectly confident in my own vets ability to do the operation if it needs to be done, I just want to make sure it's the right course of action. mita
Here she is enjoying a 'nana. She's been known to wake me up in the middle of the night because she can smell bananas in the fruit bowl and wants one. And I've been silly enough to give her one. The man next door who has champion racing greyhounds, says the magic food he feeds them, is.... bananas. He says they're high in potassium & it gives his greys strength. I reckon Kibah knows that trick & it's why she looks so beautiful and in good condition in that lovely OP pic. Whatever treatment she gets, that great condition will stand her well. Shall be thinking of you both. And keep up the 'nanas. :)
Loving my Oldies
What about moi ?? . I eat 'nanas every day and I shure as hell don't look as good as Kibah.
