aliwake
Glad there's nothing to worry about! I add an extra probiotic capsule to nixon's yoghurt if things are a bit soft, or if there are too many stinky farts... Usually gets him back on track pretty quickly. Steph M
There is a high possibility (read, certain, booked and paid) that the dogs will be having Christmas photos done at their daycare this Friday. I'm so excited. I might just get back a sheet of black and mottled blurs but at least in that case it'll be an accurate representation.
Guest hankodie
A GR with a sensitive tummy!! Haha!! The ultimate kick in the pants!   Now that I think about it that might be in inaccurate diagnosis. I've seen him eat the most disgusting things (including, but not limited to): rabbit poop, possum poop, bird poop, Odie's poop... and of course he always ends up fine

Gus ate a handful of rotting fruit from the compost bin when it blew over the other week and was fine but if you give him a different kibble it's explosive. Go figure. aliwake
Speaking of eating disgusting things.... I found Nixon in the garden this morning eating his breakfast for the 2nd time around... He hasn't spewed for quite a while, so fingers crossed there's nothing wrong with him... He seems happy enough though. touch wood. We have my niece and nephew staying at the moment, and I think Nixon is behaving brilliantly, which is great! He's such a good boy (most of the time!) He's been very sleepy and obedient since coming home from the kennel :)

Steph M
We just had morning baths because today we're off to get Christmas photos done! (Ignore the muddy reclaimed sofa bed behind them, it at least gives me somewhere to look for things they've stolen) Master Gus (and Madam Rosie) started on VAN today, much slower to finish than dry food, which is a win in itself. The dry we had them on stopped agreeing with his belly, so thought we'd give this a go. Other than that he's going well, starting to swim more, rather than just paddle but is still working on his confidence when he's out of his depth. The drive to retrieve is certainly there though, if we throw a ball too far out he whines and tries every angle of the creek to hop in and get it and gets visibly frustrated while we wait for it to wash in closer, haha. Lollipup
Yesterday I took Envy with me to the horse paddocks to help me pick up horse poo. Well, to watch. It was a bit hot and next thing, I look over and she is climbing into the horse water tub She also had a ride in the wheelbarrow She laid right down in the tub the next time.... And became concerned a bit when a huge horse came over to see why there is a dog in her water

LisaCC
People didn't believe me that my "working dog" is a lazy bum. Today we got smoke from the fires (nearest one is about 5 hours away!), I'm severely asthmatic so I locked myself in the house all day (good for studying at least) and let Nova come veg with me. All morning I was wondering if I could tire him out enough and if he would be psycho all night. This is what he has done for 90% of the day, the other 10% was eating, pooping, and a 15min walk my housemate so nicely took him for (which he didn't even want to get up for ). tikira
Nova looks like the perfect companion for my "working breed" border Collie. She seriously is the most "chilled out" dog I can imagine (or was, until Jingo excited her play interest after 8 months of quiet life. ) Glad to hear he is a good "study buddy" when needed. LisaCC
He's not such a great study buddy when he climbs over my laptop like a cat! He's changed security settings multiple times now!! How is Jingo settling in?
tikira
Sounds fun Lisa, as long as he doesn't change the password!!!! My three year old nephew did that years ago, and would not tell us the new one, it took a lot of bribes. Jingo is an absolute pleasure at the moment. He loves his crate, and his pen, but is not spending much time in there, except as training, as Kira has fully accepted him, and wants to play- a lot. Jingo needs to go to his pen for rest now! His toilet training is going great, except he is a "princess" and dislikes wet grass! Puppy training started on Sunday, it is great for socialisation, though as we were volunteer trainers years ago, can probably help some of the new puppy owners. One lady surprised us as she was fully "correctional based" before, but has now totally converted to positive measures, and her dog is a pleasure tobe around, a great teacher, and a multi titled dog. I am sure there will be questions and brags as we go forward, but so far, so good. Di
