Rebanne
Boy puppies have hair from the tip of the sheath, it certainly gets damp. I always trim it. But actual dripping, hmm, nearly a vet visit. I'd be watching closely and see if it's just because he won't stand still long enough to finish :D
aliwake
I trimmed the doodle hair too - drove me nuts when he was tiny! There would always be a droplet left on the hair after he'd finished peeing :)

Esky the husky
Thanks :p I think it's just the doodle hair, seems to be peeing normally
aliwake
Thanks :p I think it's just the doodle hair, seems to be peeing normally  That's hilarious! I wondered if that might be it! It took me weeks to work up to trimming the doodle hair, and it was so much better afterwards. No more dripping! Can highly recommend doing it asap :)

Was most upset when he was spayed & the vet shaved it off.
aliwake
"Doodle Hair" Well there's another techo term for ya. I always felt a bit silly calling it a penis, when it was so cute and small!! :) Doodle seems far more suitable for a baby puppy! Lollipup
Well done on Nala winning that photo comp! I can see why! She is beautiful! Today I finally got around to making a video of some of the places we took Envy as she was growing up for her socialisation. She was so little back then! Hope you all like it Thank you! Awesome video, gave me some ideas for Nala. Having her at work means she's met well over 100 people, but i'd like to introduce her to different situations as well, but work + beach + vets are the only places she's really been due to not having her vaccs finished. Today she had her 2nd and final vacc (didn't realize the vet gave her the Novibac until AFTER she'd been injected. Thought they'd ask at least!) so we can get out and about properly in a week and a half. Might take her to the sunday markets, a park etc. I don't have a horse to introduce her to though lol (wish I did, dallies are perfect horse dogs) By then she'll be in her fear period though...did Envy get out and about the whole time? Sorry for the late reply, yes she did. I just kept an eye on her behaviour with things and made it all a positive experience with the positive coming from me. Tried to make myself the most rewarding thing in any environment.
dotdashdot
Awesome, thank you! I remember with Cleo in her later fear period, we walked past a chair on the beach, just your ordinary green plastic chair but she was SO scared of it! And further up on the walk, it was a postal basket on wheels, she did NOT want to walk past it! I think Nala will be more laid back anyway, but I also think I know how to deal with it better to (make it positive).
whippytails
For those of you that have food puzzles/toys do you have any recommendations? Also looking for a good long lead as we live on a rural property so need good recall if thats possible for a sighthound :)
aliwake
We have this puzzle feeder: http://www.petsneedalifetoo.com/products/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=246 They get the hang of it fairly quickly, so I'm not sure it's all that mentally stimulating after a while, but it certainly slows down the feeding process, and Nixon definitely likes his. It was very frustrating for him when he was a smaller puppy though, so I put it away and re-introduced it when he was a bit bigger. You can use it without the lids too, to start off with. LisaCC
I have a Kong Wobbler for Nova, it took him a few weeks to figure it out. I currently just have a horse lunge line but when I have the money I'll be getting one of these Syn Tek leads
Guest hankodie
Love this long lead by German company Hunter. That website also supplies mendota gear which I absolutely love, it's all made in America. For puzzles I second the Kong wobbler, my boy who is a bit of a dumb-dumb head managed to figure it out after a while  The nina ottosson puzzle toys are also great but a little pricey. whippytails
Thank you everyone, just wanting to start up the weekly buying items again after Christmas and these few things are on the list :)
dotdashdot
Oh dear...Nala figured out the Kong Wobbler after 1 day. I fear I have a smart cookie on my hands and that she is going to drive me nuts with her intelligence lol. As far as other puzzles go, the Purina Pet Life Play Systems range (designed by Nina Ottoson) are great, I have the UFO looking one and the maze - which is great to use as a "go slow" bowl! LisaCC
Nala sounds like a smart cookie! From memory Nova couldn't "get" it until about 12 weeks. But he could figure out one of the Nina Ottoson toys immediately, it was the one where they had to slide the bones up and down to get the treats. huski
She's not very impressed that I brought this thing into her palace. I'm a little surprised actually. :/ This pup has such prey drive and such a ridiculously strong grip on the toys. It's pretty awesome to have a dog that likes toys! Half tempted to send an email off to k9pro to see if this is something I can use to help with racing and weightpull :) Lol I just saw this and the answer is definitely, yes! We are in puppy heaven at the moment with Wisdoms babies being born early yesterday morning. So. Much. Cute!!
LisaCC
All I can think of is Eksy with a toy on a stick like those old cartoons of a donkey pulling a cart for a carrot Huski, I can't stay away from your Facebook pages, they are adorable!! Congratulations again!
