English Staffy Weights

Depends totally on the bloodlines. Some mature early, some mature late. Some are bred to be the correct size, some are bred to be over sized.

I would expect one of mine to be around 10-12kg at this age but they're correct sized and fairly quick maturers (finishing up around the 17kg mark at maturity around 14-18 months)

If the dog is in good condition, you can JUST feel his ribs and he's well muscled then he's the right weight.

There's no such breed as an 'english staffy'.

Edited: I read 9 months not 7 months

my little guy was around 13 kilos at that age give or take a kilo depending what time he was weighed. He is almost 15 months now and 19 kilos and fighting fit. More important to me then weight he is in perfect praportion no oversized head or keg on legs here.

thanks for that - our staffy pup is pretty solid looking and I've been told he's over weight but you can see his waist and you can feel his ribs - i know that his dad was a big boof so i think he's taking after him
