ChewieTAG
I think Snowy has eaten about 2 inch or maybe 3 inch of the nylon leash. I saw the leash this morning after his meal and got shocked. He must have had a go with it last night without me noticing. He did poo and eat his meal this morning, and his usual self. I will be monitoring him tonight, hopefully the leash won't obstruct in his intestine? If I know he had a go with it, I would have fed him more vege to help in digestion and passing through.... Has anyone experience this? Sigh, I am hating myself for not noticing it earlier!
Alkhe
That's probably one of the only things my Maggie hasn't tried to eat.. <img src='http://www.dolforums.com.au/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=':)' /> he will be fine, it will just work its way out, I wouldn't worry about it. A few weeks ago my other dog Mimi did what looked like a leopard print poo. Upon closer inspection... Yep, she'd eaten half my favourite pair of undies. :laugh Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 Edited January 24, 2013 by Alkhe
persephone
and he is only small, isn't he ? If he was larger I would say don't worry too much ... maybe phone your vet? Sometimes it takes a couple of days to get through ....just keep up his liquids , and see what the vet recommends.

I am hoping it will go through smoothly without obstruction. I will make appointment for tomorrow morning. Will be monitoring his next poo in the later evening. He has his own poo timing.. I have already top up some more pumpkins and vege with a little bit extra virgin oil..

minimax
I have one garbage disposal pug, luckily I learnt early on he has guts of steel, because he poops out the most amazing things The funniest one was when his poop was looking at me - he'd eaten some of toy (had to be the head!) and both the eyes happen to come out in the same poop Edited January 24, 2013 by minimax
shirra
I know how worried you must be Chewak. When I first got my pup I always left a training pad in her pen. I was horrified to find it gone one morning. The vet laughed when I told her that she'd eaten a pee pad but no trace of it in her poops! 17 months later and I'm still looking for blue bits in her poop! I'm hoping it was digestible and that it isn't lurking in there somewhere to cause grief down the track. Fingers crossed for you.

I think papers are digestible and won't see it in their poo. Snowy eats tissue sometimes if he gets a hold of it! I can't see it in his poo although I promise you I was looking intensely on his poo just to check if any.. :D

The blue strips make it easier to find his poo in the backyard! Then he eats grass and sticks and flowers just to confuse me and camoflauge his poo in the yard. Cheecky little guy. persephone
After having to have my boy in hospital to remove an intestinal obstruction , and seeing dogs die from peritonitis etc at the vets when I worked there , I no longer see eating inappropriate stuff as funny, I'm afraid.... tdierikx
When my Labrador was a pup, it was always and adventure doing the poo patrol... and we still don't know what happened to the other battery from the TV remote... it wasn't inside her (xray taken). I have a camp dog foster failure who has a nasty habit of chewing bedding - usually someone else's - and anything else she can get her mouth on... more adventures doing the poo patrol. At least I know which ones are hers... lol! T.
Dame Aussie
Are you sure he actually ate it? Could he have just ripped it up into tiny pieces? Edited January 24, 2013 by Aussie3
ChewieTAG
Are you sure he actually ate it? Could he have just ripped it up into tiny pieces? yeah I think he did. I couldn't find any pieces any where indoor. He wasn't let outdoor last night as it's too hot.
Dame Aussie
Ah ok, I would just keep an eye on him and go to the vet if you notice anything unusual, having trouble going to the toilet, seeming flat or in pain etc. Hopefully he chewed it all up small enough that it won't be an issue!
