ann21
How is he today? Hi Steve thanks for all your help. I was quite surprised he slept through last night! :)) I suspect he went to poo yesterday afternoon because I found some in the balcony this morning. It wasn't sloppy which is good :). He pooed only a bit this morning and it was runny. Otherwise he is quite active. I took him for a walk this morning and he drank a lot of water. Hopefully he will continue to improve! persephone
I was quite surprised he slept through last night! :)) probably because, with an empty gut - he had no cramps and diarrhoea to make him uncomfortable? be very careful not to overfeed..just little bits .... raffikki
There is another vet I have been recommended so I will go to him if my dogs diarrhea doesn't improve after a bit. Unfortunately there aren't many (if any) specialists in Singapore. Hi ann21, The vet at Animal Medical Centre (VET@RV) Pte Ltd seems like a great vet and is interested in Internal Medicine, Microbiology and Complementary Holistic care. Here is a list of other vets, from the Singapore Veterinary Association :D
_PL_
I order it from the UK but have found Prokolin is very effective for a combined probiotic & binding ingredient for stomach upsets. :) I often add raspberries to natural yoghurt for a bit of a treat too. puglvr
We had giardiasis last year. All 15 of the pugs, the GSD and me. We all had metrogyl and because it was in our tanks we treat the tank water every two months and have an ultr fine filter fitted. I know have metrogyl on hand all the time. Clears up any bouts of runny poo very quickly.

ann21
Hi, just wanted to give an update. I gave my dog his meal after a 24 hr fast on Thursday night. He didn't poo until tonight, but it was firm!! I have never been so happy to see poo lol. Plus it was an accident indoors after his meal. But yay I think he is getting better! Thanks again to everyone who offered advice :) Edited January 28, 2013 by ann21
