puglvr
Just wondering How much or How big a piece of Beef Liver do you use to make Beef Liver Tea? Also do you bring it to the boil and then boil for five minute (until the blood runs) or boil the water before putting it in.
Mjosa
Just a small piece will do, put it into cold water just to cover, bring to the boil turn down to a simmer and cook until blood runs, strain the liquid and cool liquid then pour into an airtight container and refrigerate until needed. If you have a fading puppy, no matter how big or small the breed, place four drops of the liver tea on the tongue and repeat every four hours, I know that after 24 hours there is an adjustment to be made to the hourly times, would have to look that up. puglvr
Thanks Mjosa. Know the cooking part and the dosage but not size of the piece of liver. It's for a friend and the liver is coming tomorrow. Apparently the liver is quite big so didn't know whether to use it all or just a portion and freeze the rest. The pup had a little bit of a set back and didn't want to feed yesterday. However we got her feeding with gusto and she is feeding well every two hours and has put on weight. Will go ahead with the Beef liver tea just to give her that extra boost. Thanks again.
