silentchild
Benji movies were definitely one of my childhood favorites! Lady and the Tramp, Fox & the Hound although they're animated. Homeward Bound. Because of Winn Dixie. Bingo. Eight Below. K-9. Now I feel like rewatching some of these movies. :D
Simply Grand
There's all the Buddies ones as well, about a bunch of lab puppies (or GRs maybe). They're for quite young kids but they're very cute.

Mrs Rusty Bucket
I liked Benji as a kid. How to train your dragon - is really about dogs. Honest. They're dogs. Mask - is about the only jim carey movie I have ever liked. And the dog is smarter than he is. Are there charlie brown / snoopie movies? Wizard of Oz features a dog. Dr Dolittle movies. Cats and Dogs. Pretty silly movies but what the hell. The adventures of TinTin There was a footrot flats movie And there is one I haven't seen called hachi - a dog's tail with Richard Gere Never ending story has strong dog elements (again they confuse a dragon with a dog - but I guess that's better than Shrek's donkey dog) "Annie" has a dog Bolt - is about an animated dog. Silly but I watched it. Beverly HIlls Chihuahua - again silly but I watched it. There's a sequel to Mask - erm "Son of Mask". Marmaduke The waterhorse - another dog=dragon movie. Best in Show. I loved it. Not sure if the kids would get it or not.

raz
Red Dog. A great aussie film. Are the kids too young for a romcom? Very cute romance with a dog at the centre of it. Lost and Found.

hankdog
Used hotel for dogs to desensitize my reactive bulldog.... Jake gives it 5 stars. Maybe try some horse movies too, Black Stallion is a personal fave.
