SLF Posted December 26, 2012 Share Posted December 26, 2012 My girl is at day 55, doing all the right things as far as I can tell. Staying close to home, being a bit sooky and loving a sit on your lap and a cuddle, yet still plently energy to have a play with the young dogs and jump the baby gate we have put in the house to contain the pups once they arrive. Eating small amounts often, drinking etc.. However in the last 24hrs her stools are quite loose, not watery just very very loose. Im assuming this is a normal part of late pregnancy, as it is in women. Her feed has not changed. But thought I'd check with all you experienced people in here. Mjosa Posted December 27, 2012 Share Posted December 27, 2012 That sounds normal for a bitch approximately a week out from whelping. My bitches do that but just prior to whelping I have noticed a change in colour, just going darker in colour, this happens when whelping is imminent. Best of luck with your babies.
