CrabyLion
Not sure if anyone can help this situation, but it is going on as I post this, at Centro Galleria in Warwick, Perth. Lots of people talking of smashing windows to get these animals out, unsure if someone here may have some "pull"
Her Majesty Dogmad
It's disgusting. Cannot believe the RSPCA aren't interested - actually I can. Is there an Animal Welfare League in WA as they also investigate cruelty. How about contacting the local Council and the Dept of Primary Industries (WA) - there have to be some laws covering this. Jed
The a/c in the centre will be running even though the centre is closed. Complaints should be made to centre management. I would prefer no pups in shops but I think this is another Oscar's Law beat up. They have shown they are careless with the truth when it suits their purpose. There seems an air of hysteria on facebook, which is never good.
persephone
The a/c in the centre will be running even though the centre is closed. I wondered this as well ..as I'm sure shops would not be impressed if all their goods melted , etc because of high temps... ?
Steve
Yes and there will be people in and out cleaning and checking on them too. Its just another way to push their agenda. Even though Im against animals in pet shops Im even more against this kind of hype and beat up. if the RSPCA arent interested there is a reason for that because believe me they would get them if they could. juice
I agree, not ideal ,but the suggestion to smash the glass and get them out is a bit of a worry, trying to get others to act on their behalf.
Dogsfevr
The a/c in the centre will be running even though the centre is closed. Complaints should be made to centre management. The air con wasn't working in the centre so all animals where left in those plastic boxes in 42 temps . We are in the midst of a severe heatwave & the power is going on/off. The air-conditioning for the entire Warwick Shopping Centre temporarily broke down yesterday, which was confirmed by centre management. All animals have been assessed and are bright and alert and showing no signs of heat stress. RSPCA Inspectors have provided the owner of the store with a set of directions to maintain the health and welfare of all animals housed on site. The RSPCA will continue to monitor the situation"
