Tara8430
Does anyone know what I could put on Abbeys face where she has been bitten by a bee to draw out the sting? I'm pretty sure I can see there's still a sting in it but can't get anywhere near it to get it out myself, is there anything I could apply to it? I had put Neocort on it over the past 24 hours but now she's scratched more hair off the area I'm sure I can still see the sting (when she stands still for all of one second)
Salukifan
You should be able to scratch it out if the poison sack is visible. Otherwise, If its swollen, I'd suggest an anti-histamine. The hair falling out may be an allergic reaction too.
Guest Labradork
There was this thread recently... http://www.dolforums.com.au/topic/244468-possible-bee-sting/page__p__6051437__hl__%2Bbee+%2Bsting__fromsearch__1#entry6051437
dasha
You need to use a credit card or something similar and SLIDE it across to pull it out. If you try and squeeze it or anything, it will squeeze the poison out. While ever the sting is still there, it will inject more poison
Tara8430
Yeah I don't stand a chance with the credit card thing, I was hoping for maybe a creame of wash that might draw it out. I'm not sure if it's bee or wasp to be honest it sort of looks like its a couple of stings either that or she's just rubbed it heaps. Also the hair hasn't fallen out she's scratched it so much the hairs come off. I'll slip her another couple of phernergan tonight.
Staff'n'Toller
If you can't get near it you'll have to see a Vet tomorrow. It will continue to be highly irritating as it's a foreign body in the skin.
BC Crazy
Hi Tara, doesn't sound good, poor Abbey She is having a time of it lately. Sounds like another Vets visit might be in order IMHO. Sorry. Hope she is ok?
Tara8430
Thanks BC think I have it out now. And yes poor little bugger looks so damn sore had to happen when I wasn't home too but at least she didn't swell.
