Zug Zug
No - for two reasons. Firstly because the saliva irritates my skin. Secondly because I just find it an unpleasant thing, and a bit too familiar in a way.
Greytmate
I would rather my dog wake me up by licking my face than wake me up by barking loudly in my ear. Depends on which way I am facing when she comes in to wake me up.
Guest Labradork
Sessy does as Sessy pleases, she's allowed to lick me, eat of the fork, clean out a bowl and share food if I let her. Me too. We sometimes share ice creams.

We sometimes share ice creams. Nothing wrong with sharing. This one's not mine but I promised her an icecream and an icecream we did have There may have been some face licking involved too, but the poor girl had waited several years to be allowed to lick me LOL

CrazyCresties
Daisy would never try, but Louis is well trained - If I say 'kiss' I get a one quick lick on my nose  My cocker was a sod for trying to lick your ear

eyeopener
It depends I hate big siobbery licks up the face n therefore try too train mine not to lick but I have some that will gently n ever so quickly touch noses n give a tiny lick as they retreat that's ok. HazyWal
Nope I just don't like the feel of it. Sometimes Stan will lick my jeans when I'm sitting on the lounge and I just look at him and he starts furiously licking the lounge like his head just slipped or something
mantis
I don't let them go to town but if they lick my face I don't freak out and wash it  To be honest, I would prefer my dog licking my face to shaking hands with a stranger. Me too, on both your comments.
LisaCC
I might allow it if I didn't have a poo eater. Because of that reason Sam knows he is not allowed to lick us, but he will take a chance and give friends a quick lick, and if they allow it he will go to town. But he is much more of a hand licker than face. I will give him a kiss on his head, cheek or snout though. Double standards
donski
When I get out of the shower I get my calves and knees licked dry for me. That's as high as he can reach luckily!
OSoSwift
I don't like being licked full stop, if my dogs even think about getting close enough for a face lick they get told no and/or off you go. I don't rush out and wash the spot but I hate getting licked anywhere, especially the face Edited November 24, 2012 by OSoSwift
OSoSwift
I don't even like to listen to dogs slurping when they lick themselves!
Kirislin
I don't even like to listen to dogs slurping when they lick themselves! I hate that noise too. My sister used to have this stinky old cat who used to insist on sleeping on my bed when I'd go to visit, he would slurp and snuffle all night, it drove me nuts. Kirislin
I try to stop my dogs from licking my face, but occasionally they still sneak one in. That is when I first realised that Tag likes to eat dog sh!t, because he shared some with me when he managed to get a tonguey in Oh you are kidding. That is so gross  How I wish I was kidding. mumof4girls
I don't mind if my own dog does not sure about strangers though lol.. I definately don't find it disgusting but then I don't sit there and let him go to town , just a couple of licks is enough for me..
Guest donatella
The puppy is a face licker but she's also a crap eater so I feel violated if that tongue gets anywhere near my skin. She's quick though.
