tlc
I'd like to see it without then make up my mind, it's funny with photos sent it, if his tail was out of sight to begin with it would still be a great photo! Was it nearly dark or are you just in a dark area? It doesn't look like you used any flash and I can't see any noise. It's a beautiful shot! Nup, no flash and no special treatment to make it look so dark in the background, her yard is very shadowy in parts, it makes it quite atmospheric, you just have to watch out for turds  and mozzies . I decided to see what it was like without his tail but I can't decide. I asked the owner and she said she'd like to see it without as well. 5F6A3420dpptcr no tail by kirislin, on Flickr Mind Control by kirislin, on Flickr Edited November 14, 2012 by Kirislin
tlc
Now that I've seen it without I like it better than with. I think the tail makes the balance of the photo a bit off, if that makes sense.
Kirislin
at least it was an easy one to do. Now she can have it either way she wants.

minimax
I like it with the tail because it looks like he's wagging his tail and being happy
wagsalot
I like it without the tail - otherwise my eyes seem to go straight to the tail.
Loving my Oldies
I prefer without. There isn't a distration from concentration on the dogs concentrating :D

Kirislin
I did a rather rough cloning job with the tail amputation. I'm hoping this one's a bit neater 5F6A3420 no tail t by kirislin, on Flickr
Dame Aussie
It looks good either way kirislin. With the tail is natural and makes the bedlington look happy but without is a more balanced picture.
