supercharged
A friend of mine who picked up an import from Eastern Creek the other weekend said he was told that the changes would not now be implemented until 2015. Oh Wow! That is a long way off Here's to finding a breeder who is happy with 30 days...
wayrod
No official information has been forwarded to indicate that a reduction in quarantine time may or will occur, it is only speculation. The speculation has stemmed from a review of DAFF/Australian Quarantine that are periodically undertaken. I have/had a few Category 4 dogs coming to Australia go via NZ where 10 days Quarantine is required. They then do a 80 day minimum residence (total minimum time in NZ of 90 days-Quarantine plus residence) and then can enter Australia from there as long as they meet all veterinary requirements. During the minimum 80 day residence period, dogs can be shown towards NZ titles. This arrangement seems to satisfy a lot of o/s breeders that do not want young dogs to do a 30 day stint in quarantine.
