koalathebear
We just supervised our two when they were first exposed to the tree and corrected them if they showed too much of an interest. Then they were fine with it and ignored it. Some photos here of the dogs and the intact tree. Edited November 8, 2012 by koalathebear
Esky the husky
I'd be more worried about my cat
Teebs
Yep. Dog fine here.. It's the 12 month old cat that I'm worried about. This year it's my tree with the cheapest decorations I can find on it. No way am I putting my good decorations on!!
minxy
Dammit, this just reminded me that I have a 4 month old kitten to worry about. I can't even stop him from attacking my ankles yet

I can't even stop him from attacking my ankles yet  Gutsy putting a tree up at all With 3 rather energetic cats and successive puppies it's easier to decorate the deck and the cat enclosure - looks great all lit up! mita
Good plan to have the security in place. Friends had a GSD girl who loved her squeaky toy with a passion, but she finally wrecked it & it made no sound....which frustrated her. So they bought her a new squeaky toy & wrapped it & put it under the Christmas tree with all the family presents. You know what's coming! They went to midnight mass & when they came home, there were ripped presents all over the place, but the GSD happily had the new squeaky toy in her mouth. Seems she'd been poking around sniffing at the presents.... & likely stood on the squeaky toy. And did some demolition work to find which parcel.
