ellz Posted November 3, 2012 Share Posted November 3, 2012 do what my grandmother does ... get some fine strong cotton, double reef knot it and tie it around the base very tightly. I was going to suggest this too. This is a way to get rid of skin tags on humans too. Hadn't heard about rubbing alcohol on it though, just the string bit. Dental floss works too. Tritto....did this to a skin tag on one of my horses' faces. It didn't bother him at all and you couldn't even see where the tag came off. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Wobbly Posted November 3, 2012 Share Posted November 3, 2012 (edited) Yeah the only thing I would worry about with them is if they're on the muzzle it's worth drawing the vets attention too when you go in for vacc. or any other reason, because the muzzle ones can be cancerous apparently. The vet wasn't concerned by Jarrah's because it didn't seem to be growing fast or big (was about 6mm x 3mm). Jarrah's was an odd pale pink colour too, even though she is seal coloured.
