Sheilaheel02
Hi Cosmolo, Nevermind............ I was going to suggest Radar as a possible candidate but he is near ACT, not VIC. Sharon www.australiancattledogrescue.com

koalathebear
Hullo, here's a list of the AWDRI dogs being fostered in Vic.
Cosmolo
Victoria would be preferred as clients want us to look at potential candidates. Of course if the perfect dog is located interstate and they can't find any in VIC, they may consider it. Thanks KTB- 4 of the AWDRI dogs sounded suitable so i have forwarded them the links. Newfymum- which ones were you thinking of on the website?
Newfymum
Ralphy would be ideal... is in foster care with 2 borders at the moment :) or even Neddy who we think may have some Kelpie in him very high energy but very intelligent too :)
Aphra
We have Liam. He's a bit of an idiot, but endlessly good natured with other dogs and learns really fast. I've listed him as not really suitable for an urban environment because he's really active, but with lots of exercise and other dogs for company he'd be good I think. He's a Border Collie Xed with something, possibly cattle dog or Kelpie. Good with cats, good other dogs, good with horses and crate trained. http://www.petrescue...listings/172217 Edited to add. there are three videos of Liam on the listing, but you have to copy and paste the links. But they give a pretty good idea of him. Edited again to remove Hetty because she's not a male. I'm getting old and forgetful! mixeduppup
It's not from a rescue but I have a friend who is helping rehome a full kelpie boy, he of course ended up with someone who got bored with him and wants to rehome him. He's very well behaved considering and isn't an escapist or has separation anxiety. I believe he's red in colour. It's a long shot and he is in NSW but you never know. Cosmolo
I liked him alot Aphra but didn't forward his details because it said not suitable for urban living. mixeduppup- they want to go through a reputable rescue, even more so if a dog was interstate. S09
Would Animal Aid at Coldstream be within the criteria? They have Steve, a 4yo Kelpie x. "This good looking boy is hoping to find an active home to join. He loves to play ball, go for walks and have cuddles with the family. Steve would make a fantastic walking or jogging companion, and he can't wait to meet his new family!" Website
Cosmolo
I did see him but would really prefer something already in foster care. He'd be worth finding out more information on though, thanks.

Aphra
I just wanted to avoid the people who think they like the idea of a working breed, but haven't thought it through in an urban environment. Liam isn't as super active as some working breeds I've had through, but needs lots of interaction, he loves just working with you. But there are lots of great dogs out there who would suit, so if not Liam I'm sure another dog will find an excellent home. :-) I liked him alot Aphra but didn't forward his details because it said not suitable for urban living. mixeduppup- they want to go through a reputable rescue, even more so if a dog was interstate.
