persephone
He sounds as if his owners have done right by him ..as he is well mannered and socialised , good teeth, and possible harness marks :) I am hoping he finds them again..or that we see him more frequently on D O L . :)
Showpony
I hope they are too. He's such a sweetie. He's pretty sure my husband's lap is where he needs to watch tv. Our cat is disgusted, he smells a lot like a dog LOL. Good on you Kat. I hope his owners are found. Hi, Good on you for helping this little guy........I have a similiar looking dog who is the fun police for my Pointers.......she just turned 4 and is greying out now too.......your better than me though, I know it's illegal but I'd keep him but advertise him in the local paper first as a found dog. I couldn't stand the thought of what might happen to him in a pound. That is an awful thing to do. He seems like a much loved dog and he and his owners deserve to be given the best opportunity to be reunited with hims. If he is not reclaimed at the pound he can then be legally adopted. What if it was your dog that went missing? Katdog good on you hopefully his owners can be found when he goes to the pound :) Hi, Actually I would try to locate his owners......I'm not that heartless or selfish...... I am involved in the Rescue Group for my breed.......and very aware of what happens to dogs, that end up in rescues and pounds.......and unfortunately we have had a couple of Pointers found wandering, who would fit the same description as in health and condition but when we tracked the owners, they didn't want them back so we found fosters and re homed. What I have found about doing Rescue is it makes me very cynical about the previous owners and the BS you get told, as a Group we are extremely proud and happy when we can 'save' a Pointer that has fallen on hard times.......my sister had a little Jack Russell X, come into her property, she figured he had probably been around for a while just by the what was happening with her other dog and horses. She figured also he showed himself once he got hungary enough. Turned out he was microchiped, and he came from a property about 5 km up the road from her. She returned the dog, owner put on the big happy re-union routine, wanted to know where he had been etc but my sister felt very uneasy about this. About 5 days later she heard a car screech to a stop at her gate, a dog yelp, the car door slam and drive away at speed. So what came wondering down her drive was the Jack Russell X.......and he has been there ever since
tdierikx
I just met the little man in question... and he's evry bit as sweet at Katdogs says. A little timid at first, but warms up to you quickly - especially if you stroke his chest or tummy. He's off to the pound now so that his owners have the best chance of finding him if they are looking... T.
