Guest donatella
I thought i'd give people in Brisbane a heads up (if they haven't already heard about it} of a great dog friendly cafe I went to today in Yeronga. Details are: Anesis 82 Hyde Road Yeronga http://anesis.com.au/ It doesn't actually go around advertising that its dog friendly but once you've been there, and the locals know, that it very much is! You sit outside, the meals are HUGE and very cheap (only do breakfast and lunch until 4pm) and dogs are welcome (there is a dog park across the road). I've been twice now, the first time for breakfast and the place is always packed out (but not overcroweded) and there is an assortment of pooches sitting under the table. I went for lunch today and took Bonnie and they brought her out a proper dog water bowl and next to us was a chocolate Lab. I must say for Brisbane standards i'm thrilled to find a welcoming venue with great food and service. Thought i'd share the word. We don't have many dog friendly eateries and Queensland is severely lacking. Do you have a great recommendation in your town to share with local DOLers? Ruin Maniac
I would love to know of any dog-friendly cafes in Vic. I want my dog to travel and spend time with people in diverse environments. Being able to take him on a girl's day would be fantastic.

My puppy came on her first 'lunch with the girls' date today and I was nervous about how she would react but she sat patiently under the table while we ate away. I was very proud! HazyWal
Bellyfish Cafe in Terrigal NSW. Not only is the food and service outstanding we have had a LOT of greyhounds laying around the tables and they have been wonderful, bringing out extra umbrellas for shade and making sure the dogs are comfortable. I give them 5 stars.

Being able to take him on a girl's day would be fantastic. Come over to Brunswick! I take my girls to get coffee with me wherever I go, and as long as there are outside seats (ie, on the pavement) will sit there with them. Last week I dropped one off at the groomer and went out for coffee with my other one, and the barista came out and fussed over her, bringing her water etc. It's not uncommon to see people bringing dogs with them around here, and most times I go to my local cafe (A Minor Place in Albion St, between Sydney Rd and Lygon St) there is at least one dog with its owner or waiting for its owner to get takeaways. :)
Kobi'sDaisy
Whipped in Semaphore near Adelaide SA, you can take your pets around the side and into the outdoor area out the back! Pretty much everywhere in Semaphore has water bowls and allow dogs out the front at the tables, while it can get a little mad with so many dogs around in summer its a great environment! Plus the beach is at the end of the street :)
Gertrude139
NSW hills district Castle Hill NSW - The Baron whoisthebaron.com Bonus is they make the best coffee in the hills! There are only 3 tables outside but usually the turnover is quite fast and you don't have to wait long, no more than 15min I would say. Water bowl is provided. Quirky meals and drinks, lots of local produce and organic ingredients. The staff are really friendly and accommodating, sometimes the dogs get a bacon treat from the kitchen staff :) Across the road is a park so if they get restless we walk them for a bit then come back. The dogs love it as it is on the outside of Castle Towers so there are heaps of people walking past who stop and pat them. It's about a 30min walk from the Castle Hill dog park. West Pennant Hills NSW - Cafe Saligna (Cumberland State Forest) cafesaligna.com.au Haven't had lunch here but have had drinks and cakes in the arvo. Heaps of outdoor dog friendly seating, no water bowls are provided that I know of but there is a tap so we always bring our own. Since the whole forest is dog friendly we take the dogs on a few bush walking tracks then once their good and tired sit down for a cool drink. If your dog has a high prey drive beware - bush turkeys are roaming around! Also has plenty of BBQ picnic areas scattered around that are dog friendly as well. Rouse Hill NSW rhtc.com.au Most Cafes in the centre square of the Rouse Hill Town Centre are dog friendly if they have outdoor seating, which most do. I particularly like The Coffee Emporium - it has good coffee, and Harvest Cafe - good menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All open air / non covered areas of the town centre are dog friendly. Around the centre square there are 'doggy parking stations' which have a tap and waterbowl, a place to tie your dog if you want and poo bags. The RSPCA store is also dog friendly, you can take them in to pick out a treat or two but beware there are cats in there.

suziwong66
Muratti on Prospect Road, Prospect (Adelaide) is our regular Sat morn haunt with Wilbur. They are happy to accommodate dogs at the outdoor tables at the front of the cafe and always provide a bowl of water.
Guest Labradork
Gippsland, VIC: Koonwarra Food & Wine Store http://koonwarra.vic.au/local-businesses/koonwarra-food-wine-produce-store The food is divine and the service is fantastic. I recommend lunch in their outdoor dining area. No bookings necessary. Phillip Island, VIC: Silverleaves Store & Cafe http://www.silverleavescafe.com.au/index.php A friendly, neighbourly atmosphere with idyllic sea views. Best avoided during the Motorcycle Grand Prix. No bookings necessary. Edited October 21, 2012 by Labradork

Terrigal Beach isn't but Wamberal to the north is or just a few minutes over the hill south North Avoca to Avoca Beach shark tower are offleash beaches. The Haven in Terrigal where the boat ramp is has an offleash dog area with the best views in town :) Zanzibar is another dog friendly cafe but it's fairly small and not across from the beach like Bellyfish is. Parking is a nightmare on the weekends but I only live 2 mins walk from the main street
