quangle
I have just applied advantix to my springer spaniel for the first time. I made sure it went directly onto the skin and applied in several different areas because there was such a lot of it.(10-25kg ampule) I have just now looked at her (an hour later) and you can see it has run down the fur, so there is a palm size patch on her neck which is oily looking. My kids will be home from school in a hour. Do I have to keep them away from the dog, or can I wipe this area off, or sponge it or something? I don't want to lessen the effect of the treatment, but it will be hard to stop the kids touching it. Any advice? Thanks
Kavik
I generally apply it right before I put the dogs to bed, so it has time to disperse before the kids will be anywhere near the dogs. Not sure what you can do in your case, sorry.
gsdog2
I do the same thing with my two (GR & GSD) and 5 days later the GR still has an oily patch on his back and the yet the GSD hasn't got a mark on her. They have very different coat types and I'm wondering if that could cause the difference
karly101
Ring the number on the box! :) they are very helpful and will let you know what's safe to do. I also apply before bedtime.
