Has Anyone Else Noticed This?

I have a family member who bought a Cav from reg breeder and it wasn't what she hoped for at all. He was stubborn, hard to train and all in all a little shit. She used to have cockers so I assume she thought cav would be easier being a smaller dog. Anyway, the dog now lives with another family member, and is doing better with a dog friend. But I agree with another poster, Cav's looks like a cute lap dog but they're not, they are hard work.

I've found that a high number of the smaller breed dogs in pounds appear to be really sweet and gentle souls - as opposed to the number of over loved and seriously not nice little ferals I see being kept and doted on... very weird!

 Very true!! I've never met a dog I didn't like, but jesus, there are some dogs I know that I'd never ever want to own..

Hard work, I haven't personally found that ...

Like people, we are all different tho, same with dogs.. but Cavs have certainly been the easiest dog I've ever own throughout my life..

Mine aren't perfect angels all the time.. but what dog is?

Its a real pity we can't stick some of the humans out there in pounds because they don't live up to our expectations etc :mad

This.

I have never heard iof anyone having issues with a Cav....ever  I always recommend them as agreeable, quiet companions which will fit in almost anywhere.

Yep, I have even helped a few cavs who were rescued from puppy farms and they still had the nicest natures, a little shy sometimes but who wouldnt be?
