When I was worried my pup was being destructive when she was bored, I set up my webcam for a few days so I could keep an eye on her - turned out she had two manic destruco episodes of about 5 minutes each and slept the rest of the day! Can you set up something similar to see if your dog is actually barking a lot, or if your neighbors are exagerating?

Of course, boredom busters are a good idea, but you might be worrying a lot for nothing.
