Thought I'd throw my recent pack photos up here to show off my family :)

Most of you know Maya, my Anatolian Shepherd, already. She had her first dog park trip this weekend and made some new friends!

Sage, my tuxedo Burmese x Doemstic Shorthair. This is pretty normal behavior for him.

This is my newest Fancy Mouse, born in a litter five weeks ago. She's a longcoat rex chocolate tan, I called her Alia.

Buddy, the biggest of my Bearded Dragons, had a rare bath this past weekend - he had a few funky scales that haven't moulted through well, so I gave him a soak in warm water to help. His favourite part of the bath is getting wrapped up and towel dried afterwards :)

Tlc yes most of these were taken with the new camera indeed! I am loving it, though still working on getting good action shots especially in lower light. The Kakis, Tiels, and Sage eating th table are older photos from the previous camera.

*beam* Thankyou Bianca! Princess Maya also says thank you (though she gets so fawned over by... just about everybody who meets her... I suspect she gets too many compliments but how could you not? :D)

Here is Maya's big brother, Zeke (Big brother in age only, she is now an inch taller than he is) my Lab x Cattle Dog. Zeke is the one who taught Maya the joys of being a waterdog in the tropics

Maya on out afternoon walk yesterday. She has not seen cattle up close since she was a puppy. Yesterday when we passed their fenceline they were close and Maya stopped, stared, and then sat down to study them. Then she lay down and glanced at me. "Can I guard these please mum?"

And not quite as cute as they will be, this is my litter of 3-day-old "aliens" New mum Mia is doing wonderfully with a very large litter of 13. Tentatively, they look like 6 boys, 7 girls. A lovely mix of dark and lights - the darks will all be Black Tans like their parents. The lighter guys are the recessive c-dilutes, which will very likely be Siamese or Colourpoint Beige. (Black eyed Siamese). All of these should be Longcoat Rexes too, so fluffy :D

Thanks all :) OMG Crestie I cannot IMAGINE how crazy a Burmese x Bengal would be!!! Do you have any photos handy around DOL? :)

OMG Besty was BEAUTIFUL. Easily one of the nicest looking ticked tabbys I've seen! Lots of Bengal in her face and eyes, and just look at that photo of her snuggling Indy  OH and I love the one of her shooing you a dirty look in the snow, hehe!

How did she end up a brown ticked tabby being Burmese x Bengal? I reckon an Abby snuck into her parentage somewhere ;)

Maya had a lovely walk today at the foreshore, I really thought that at some point she'd stop charming people walking by... has not happened yet :D

Maya posing at the foot of the waterfall. Really what she was waiting for is this...

"You want to recycle your icecream container? Those have to be rinsed out first, allow me."

The mouselings are looking a little bit more like actual mice at a week old~!

  • 1 month later...

Maya is eight months old now and so big and beautiful (slight bias? :p)

We had fun at the beach yesterday and there are also a few pictures from when we were out walking last week.

8Months_Beach.jpg

Maya is such an avid swimmer... for a moment here I thought she was headed for one of the islands, but she recalled  She was deep enough here that I would have had to swim.

Happy puppy at the foreshore!

The downside to being a waterdog is that Maya thinks of fountains as perfectly acceptable places to swim...

Sage looks comfy curled on the couch..

And the babies look like proper mice now! The whole litter are Longcoat Rex, so super fluffies, though the double Rexes do tend to have a less full coat than the single rexes. My pale coloured babies wound up being mostly Siamese Foxes, with one Dove and one Dove Tan, so a nice variation of colours in this litter.

The Dove female. She has a fabulous coat texture!

One of the Black Tan boys, starting to show lovely belly colour now

At five weeks old the Siamese start to colour up nicely, the body getting paler while the points show through.
