Merrirose
I have always flown puppies without issue from 8 weeks of age and a friend mentioned the other day that she would not fly a puppy younger than 12 weeks. Can I ask what other breeders do please?
Leema
I fly at 8 weeks. I rather puppies be with their new families ASAP.
mini girl
Fly at 9 weeks - but believe 8 weeks is ok too.
dancinbcs
12 weeks is the start of the fear period so I wouldn't leave it until then. Most breeders I know send them at 8-10 weeks.
Tralee
You don't have a lot of choice if they are going overseas because they can't go before 12 weeks. Otherwise I have only sent puppies on planes at 10 weeks. It costs more because they are bigger and heavier but I won't send any puppies out to homes before then. Alyosha
Mine too have flown domestically from 8 weeks and never had a problem. And to overseas from 11 weeks and pups have still happily bounced out of crates at the other end.

Steve
8 weeks domestically.ANKC says none overseas until 12 weeks but if you sell the pup and the new owner decides to fly it at 8 weeks its not you're bung.
