Following on from my thread on temperament testing a future sports prospect puppy. I know NOTHING about conformation! And I know it is important that a sports dog has good conformation. So I would love to find out more about conformation in so far as how it is important for sports, what to look for, what to avoid etc. Pictures would be great!

Another recommendation for Structure in Action. I always refer back to it so it's a very useful book to have, as there is no point having drive in a dog if it falls apart.

It details why certain structural features are desired as well as unwanted in a sport dog.

Basically you want a dog that is balanced and natural (I recall you are looking at Kelpies?)
