Guest donatella
When I was at the vets very recently my vet recommended Interceptor Spectrum also because of it covers heartworm, hookworm, tapeworm etc. Pretty much have all the blasted worms covered :)
Guest lavendergirl
I think you are asking about a heartworm only medication as opposed to an allwormer? My vet recommends Proheart which contains moxidectin rather than products such as Heartgard which contain Ivermectin which may cause a bad reaction in some dogs, especially collies. I have not had the yearly injection recommended at all. As to levels of toxicity I guess they all contain chemicals so are all toxic to some degree. Rebanne
I use a monthly tablet that only does heartworm and use it every 6 weeks. I would not use something that does everything in one go on my dogs. Too much chemical overload. Same as the injection, would not use that either.
