Aphra Posted September 10, 2012 Share Posted September 10, 2012 Frank lost a dog to parvo at West Wyalong the other day, and one of our Broken Hill puppies is currently at the vet with parvo, so worth noting and being extra cautious about quarantine. I know its always around and no reason not to take dogs, but worth keeping it in mind and being careful, particularly with young dogs. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
tdierikx Posted September 10, 2012 Share Posted September 10, 2012 There is also a variation of Parvo getting about that doesn't have the "normal" presentation. There will not always be blood in either vomit or poo, and the smell is different until it is too late. Dogs will be off their food in the morning and a little flat (but not chronic), then by afternoon they will collapse almost comatose suddenly. If you think that a dog may have this evil disease, act very quickly by getting them to a vet - don't wait for other symptoms... T. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
