Possible Tumor In Our Chi X

Our setter has a few of these mystery old dog lumps, there's a few in inconvenient spots that are drained regularly, but not worth the risk of taking them off. He seems to fare no worse for them though!

I think it's pretty positive that they wanted to get rid of it! Lots of vets aren't super keen on putting old or ill dogs under, so that in itself should bolster you a bit!

He probably feels better already and can get back to his normal self, but I hope the results come back all clear!

Hey Steph, It made me very pleased when the vet said even though he is 10, that he is a good candidate for surgery because hes healthy :) Bandage came off last night, wasnt meant to come off until today, but it started to slip off, so i just took it off last night, I am SO impressed with the way the wound looks, its so clean and tidy, you can hardly even see it, the vet did an amazing job

Tug is on a course of antibiotics and we get the pathology results back on Wednesday, he goes in for a checkup on Friday, then stitches come out a few days after that.

You wouldn't even know he has had surgery, he was back to his normal self the day after :)

Thankyou to everyone for your kind words, means alot :grouphug:
