piper
I just had my first go. Here is the original which was a crap photo in the first place - it was really under exposed and I couldn't recover the dog well without other stuf being over done. The owner liked the expression in this one though so as I had it open and was playing with it trying to improve it I thought what the heck, let me see what all te texture fuss is about :) And here is the edit:
tlc
Nice shots guys! I wanted to try a real over the top one and this was it. Edited September 1, 2012 by tlc
tlc
thanks. the method for adding texture, is it similar to make a composite photo?
huga
Yes. Usually one laid over the top of the other and you brush back a bit of the top photo to bring the bottom one through. It's actually quite easy, the hard part is taking them so they line up properly when you lay one over the other.
huga
If you like, I can create a new thread for those who would like to try?

Are You Serious Jo
I like the second texture, the first looks like kitty is floating in space a bit  The colours and texture of yours looks really pretty huga
tlc
Having a bit more of a play, I liked this shot but the background was meh, so I added a texture, couldn't decide which one so I did two. Think I like the first one best. :)
Cat
I think the first one is lovely. I think the second one is nice too, but distracts too much from the flowers. They are pretty - are they proteas? Edited September 20, 2012 by Cat
tlc
Yes Protea, we did a training course at work on them. The trainer showed us how to trim and give us the cutting, so of course I seen a photo op.
